Pros

Very steep learning curve first 6-9 month Work-life balance depends very much on your project manager, so ask around to get better choice if you can. You get appreciated working overtime via double promotions, so a 4-year track to manager were possible outcomes for some. No weekend overnights

Cons

compensation starts very low in Moscow, and doesn't progress fast at all, only at senior manager it become comparable to US market. Team-building would have done a nicejob but there weren't any.

Pros

Pros may vary depending on your manager and team. Unfortunately, my experience was consistently negative, and moving on to another opportunity was the right decision for me.

Cons

Extremely challenging and one of the most difficult professional experiences I have had. My experience was heavily influenced by leadership, communication, and workplace culture. I experienced communication that felt personal rather than constructive, and after raising concerns through the appropriate channels, I did not observe meaningful follow-up. I believe managers should be selected not only for technical expertise but also for leadership ability, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness. Compensation also felt below market for the responsibilities expected.
