Pros

The technology is awsome such as the e work papers, online trainings, dual monitors, and etc. The annual firm wide training is a great learning and networking experience. You get to meet people from all different offices and people from different school. Chicago training was awsome. Nice new building.

Cons

The people there can be very clicky/high school like. Also, the promotions are often unfair and so that leads to having unqualified supervisors who throw their staff under the bus if something goes wrong. Unfair distribution of work. People tend to hoard work which leads to half the staff working long hours and the other half left twiddling their dumbs. CYA enviroment.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
