Pros
I started in July with KVC, I had knowledge of them due to working with DCF as a CPS. From Orientation on I felt inclusivity and a desire to enrich their employees lives. They have great benefits such as tuition reimbursement, they promote self care frequently, and they have all been kind during the new career change. They frequently do things like bingo, employee appreciation benefits, it’s not just a pizza party. Working with KVC is rewarding in itself with the type of work we do (helping children and families in foster care). But I look forward to a long career here and have no plans to ever move, just move up. Great benefits such as 2 discretionary days starting at new hire orientation.
Cons
I have yet to find any. The type of work can she stressful for some. Case management may be more stressful working with clients and children who are harder to communicate with.
