Kalas Manufacturing

Is this your company?

It all starts at the top. Clueless leaders. - Operaror Kalas Manufacturing Employee Review

Pros

It was a great company during second generation leadership. Not anymore and it is very concerning. I am still an employee and saw good and bad over 25 years. Today it is all bad. I am looking for a new job.

Cons

The top management at kalas is clueless. Workforce is taken advantage of. The owners allow clueless people to lead the company. They allow good people to leave. Cut out the clueless people at the top and focus on the workforce. Focus on keeping good people. Keep people that know the business. Remove people that talk a good game. The people on the floor are the people that make the product and can help rebuild support. Focus on us.

Pros

There are none, expect for enjoying cable assembly. The training on the floor was lackluster, and the trainer and leads spent more time talking and flirting then they are helping. When you do have a question to make sure something is safe and correct, they respond like your bothering them. They so worried about quantity they gave up on quality.

Cons

As a cable assembler the environment can be very cliquish. I was a temp, who was never late, always on time, did what was asked. No matter what I did or how hard I work my lead and trainer just didn't seem to like me? I wasn't sure if race had to do with it but seems like they set me up to fail, giving me small jobs all the time. I love to name them but won't. This isn't bitterness or sour grapes this is the truth. I never had the opportunity to talk to a supervisor because I was let go randomly. I like my job there just not the leads, but now I make six figures, so the cream always rises to the top. I can look back today and at least smile.
