Pros

Very relaxed company culture which leads to great relationships with other employees Very accommodating when you really need it. They are not afraid to bend a little to help out For the area, the pay is actually good, but that's not saying a lot for the area but does provide great employment opportunity to those in the area Lots of room for growth in the company and they are always willing to encourage new learning and opportunities I would recommend this to new out-of-college people looking for the first job. After a year or two, move up or move out.

Cons

Relaxed atmosphere unfortunately leads to unaccountable people at times The pay is not competitive to the "nearby" cities. It can't compete with the larger city jobs that aren't very far away Management is always in flux and within a given year you can expect to see several fairly major management changes Communication is not always which can lead to very stressful deadlines Because it can't compete with other better jobs not too far away, the turn over in multiple departments is fairly high To echo the other Cons from people, you need to know the right people. Very much here it's who likes you, not necessarily if you're the right person for the position. While you can grow, if you want to hit manager or higher, you need to do more than be the best, you need to know the right people. Maybe not unique to Karmak, but unfortunate You aren't necessarily getting the "right" pay, but Karmak still expects you to work as if you are. They have no issue replacing a position or person with someone else and never backfilling it. Only adding more work to others without balancing the workload. This leads to a constant ebb and flow of employees coming and going to meet the immediate needs of the time. No proactive planning for the future

Pros

Quality Product Great story for the company

Cons

Benefits are VERY expensive. Product is 50% more expensive than the closest two competitors and the primary competitor is arguably the same product for half the cost. Management thinks they can overcome that problem by "selling better" Extremely disorganized between departments. Overall sales structure creates in-fighting. More often than not, sales person is putting out fires that other departments started because they don't know any roles outside of their own. Sales process is taken away from sales person prior to deal officially closing but then if deal goes backwards, salesperson gets their commission taken back even though they weren't handling the rollout. Extremely complicated rollout process.
