Poisonous work environment. Managers are condescending if not bullying to staff. Employees then turn on each other to try to curry favor. Toxic work environment. Plus managers like to push older employees out so they don't have to pay out retirement. HR doesn't even conduct exit interviews with some, and if they do, they do nothing but protect managers. Appalling way to run a business.
