Pros
Seems to be a very good steady business with good annual numbers and steady growth. The Food industry in general has probably been one of the better industries to work in of recent and Kellogg in particular has certainly held value. The company is primarily owned by the Kellogg Foundation which was created by the Founder of the company and this has proved very beneficial. This Foundation donates approx 250M-300M on an annual basis for the basic good of people and that certainly creates a very good feeling for its employees.
Cons
Family time is compromised because of back shift work and production facility operating 24/7. I feel that way too much cost oversight is implemented at its various plants where more significant cost savings could be obtained in many of the non-core areas.
