Pros

As an employee of Kellogg Snacks, you're pretty much guaranteed the most flexible schedule out there. While working in each of the stores you will also meet so many different people and begin building relationships with each of them, which can really make your workday enjoyable. Its a good feeling when you arrive at each store, and be greeted by name by each of these "friends". The independance is also nice because it gives you a sense of ownership to the job your doing. These things make the job highly motivating to want to go further with the company and become even more involved.

Cons

There is no communication of anything happening with the company. Merchandisers have no incentive to work as hard as they're expected to when they are made to feel non-existent. Good work is not rewarded, yet if you make a mistake it will be noticed and communicated to you immediately. They don't get benefits, no gas re-imbursements, bonuses, awards, or entries into drawings for prizes like the rest of the company, and you'll be lucky if you even receive an annual review much less any pay raise. Merchandisers are extremely unappreciated and overworked. Don't expect to have any kind of quality time with family because even part-time you will be working day and night nearly seven days a week.
