Pros

Independent work, hybrid schedule, minimal meetings

Cons

Way too much assigned work, very low pay, no bonuses/incentives. If you manage to finish your daily assignments you would then be assigned another adjuster's work that are "behind" ... 90% of staff does not do their work and does not care at all about getting anything done, including managers/supervisors (I have seen coworkers purposefully hang up on clients, not call anyone back, block numbers etc..) I have never seen this at any other company. Way too many updates on the "merge" with Kemper (formerly American Access Casualty Company) and focusing on keeping the new owners happy. Expect nothing but angry customers, even from claimants/insureds that were not even assigned to you! You are better off at any other insurance company out there, as a customer AND employee!

Pros

Pay and benefits, supportive coworkers, opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and investigation skills. The role provided valuable experience in handling complex claims and making coverage and liability decisions.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
