Pros

I worked with incredibly talented, supportive, and kind coworkers who truly care about their work and one another.

Cons

Unfortunately, my experience working in marketing has been extremely negative. The culture within the marketing department has changed significantly and not for the better. Leadership at the VP level lacks empathy, emotional intelligence, and true leadership skills. The environment is very much “my way or the highway,” with little to no openness to collaboration, creativity, or differing perspectives. Decisions appear to be driven by ego rather than strategy, resulting in the removal of hardworking, talented individuals and creating a constant atmosphere of fear across the team. Work-life balance is essentially nonexistent. Long hours are expected, flexibility is not supported, and burnout is normalized. Team members are afraid to speak up, share ideas, or offer professional opinions, which stifles innovation and morale. The marketing environment is toxic. Directors are treated poorly, publicly and privately undermined, and spoken to in a demeaning manner. This behavior sets a tone that cascades throughout the department. Benefits are below industry standards and do not compensate for the stress, lack of flexibility, or poor culture. I would not recommend this organization to marketing professionals who value collaboration, creativity, psychological safety, or healthy leadership. Significant leadership and cultural changes would be required for this to become a supportive or sustainable workplace.

Pros

Ken Garff provides a good opportunity to get your foot in the door in customer service or a call center environment . If you have previous experience, the learning curve will be much shorter than other candidates. They provided structured training along with a nesting period. You will be assigned a team leader and a team, who will make you feel supported and hear. Overall, a good experience and there are many seasoned agents across the teams that will be able to answer your questions or assist you if you need it.

Cons

Insurance costs could be a bit pricey.
