Pros
there is almost always overtime. Unlimited coffee/hot chocolate. Different cars to drive.
Cons
My first day the manager of the ken garff auto repair shop in slc, he told me that I needed to make sure to document everything I do because people will back stab me. Management told me that!! I was a assigned a desk for my data entry, following up with customers but the auto repair supervisor would always sit at my desk and I couldn't get any work done. Not to mention the front supervisor she shouldn't be in that position. I would be following up with customers and calling to remind them of their auto body appointment and if someone would come to my desk and ask me a question she would than follow after them to my desk and tell me to do my work when I was just answering questions of fellow co workers. I told the head store manager and he says he knows. He gets a lot of complaints about his front manager about her micro managing. Which it got so bad that i was following up with customers and I had dialed the number and I had to hang up because she started talking to me on how I needed to do my job which I was doing and had to stop because of her. The language at this shop isn't professional either. The f word is used so much it's a common background noise. The hr department is a laugh from the lack of support for everyone on the main level working. I would not want any of my family members working here! I wouldn't want my kids working here and I don't know how they keep track of all the car keys in such a disarray and I would never trust them to work on my car!!!!!!!
