Pros
I’m genuinely thankful for the support I received from Kent during my pregnancy. According to Kazakhstani labor laws, pregnant employees in the oilfield industry cannot continue rotational work. In such cases, the employer must either provide a suitable position in the employee’s city of residence or continue paying base salary until maternity leave begins in the seventh month. Kent chose the supportive and ethical approach. Even though I could no longer work on a rotational schedule, they continued paying my base salary during the initial months of my pregnancy. They never looked for excuses to terminate my employment or avoid their responsibilities. Instead, they treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism. My experience showed that Kent values its employees and genuinely cares about their wellbeing. I truly appreciate how understanding and supportive the company was during this important time in my life.
Cons
I wish Kent would open more projects in Kazakhstan to create additional opportunities for local employees.
