Pros

1. Flexible hybrid work arrangements 2. Lack of micro-management 3. Optimal office location and pleasant office 4.

Cons

1. Extremely poor team morale across the office. Restructuring has laid off many of the old guards, and in turn brought about a domino effect where more & more of the old guards are leaving. 2. Team culture is non-existent. No effort was made to integrate contract staff into the team purely based on their status in the company, despite them doing a lot of the heavy on-the-ground lifting. 3. Absent on-boarding process - lack of laptop and network access provided within the first few weeks (which is the bare minimum). Staff are expected to use their personal devices, which raises eyebrows about the legality of it. There are many more examples. 4. Missing leadership presence. Leaders issue directives but absolutely do not want to get their hands dirty - majority of work is simply passed down with no guidance. This often results in newer staff taking on tasks above their paygrade which is highly inefficient from an org standpoint. 5. Flexible work arrangements results in majority of the team not being physically present in the office. Lack of a physical presence hinders collaboration, which is counter-intuitive for a people-driven company.

Pros

Writing this pains me because my time at Kenvue and previously JNJ was actually quite good. My team was incredible and filled with a lot of dedicated, hard-working colleagues that were ready to collaborate and uphold a system of values and standards. Kenvue itself had great benefits and all and all, I had a wonderful boss, whom is no longer with the company, who allowed me to have a great work-life balance. Unfortunately Kenvue decided those values and knowledge replaceable, and laid off our entire team.

Cons

Kenvue does NOT value employees, point blank. They only value dollar signs and what they can get out of you. They preach work-life balance and owner mindset, and a lot of other corporate garbage but ultimately do not uphold the practices they preach. It's a shame because they let go of a lot of people who actually cared deeply about the products and problem-solving to provide the best care to consumers.
