Poor Management and Leadership - Anonymous employee Kern Energy Employee Review

Very poor middle management. Leadership is not far behind. There is lots of employee turnover and gridlock with little actual work being completed (especially for a refinery with so many issues compared to their peers). Very similar to working at a much larger corporation that lacks any and all formality. There is no formal training due to an absence of any established work flows, best practices, work procedures, etc. People have a tendency to do whatever they want without any strategy or planning involved. When it doesn't go the way they hope they blame others for their shortcomings.
