Pros

Pay is at the top for a job right out of college. Very realistic to make in the 80’s your first year, however the 35K variable pay they claim is a little misleading. In my experience it’s usually more around 15K being the upper end. The sales reps are usually highly intelligent, outgoing people, which can help with the tediousness of office days.

Cons

It is much, much more cold calling than they make it out to be. 40% of your time is required to be at the office making calls from 7:30 to 5:00 on the dot with a few team and manager meetings thrown in. They micromanage every move you make, with call count performance reviewed every office day. The metrics you’re evaluated on are extremely hard to follow, and a lot are completely pointless; this leads to 99% of reps fudging their data. You won’t have a voice at all, and since the company is so data-driven it is easy for management to focus and harp on all of the ways you’re failing, and overlook the ways you’re succeeding. The mentality they have doesn’t label good performance as success, but more so fulfilling what’s expected, “now do that again and even better next month”. Easy to see why we are known for fast employee turnover. You’re definitely replaceable here, and burnout is unavoidable.
