Pros
Some flexibility and if you like remote work... I did meet some lovely people who were too talented for their roles.
Cons
In the almost 2 1/2 years that I worked in the role not one person on my team was promoted. Some were encouraged to apply for internal promotions, and went through an exhausting process, but the feedback was always the same: we're going with a candidate from the team that the role is in and we can't promote you while you are barely making target. So, even though you were asked to apply, you shouldn't have bothered. When a whole team is failing or just scraping through target with the exception of one individual who is knocking it out of the park it's a pretty clear indication that something stinks. You can work your bum off and still take home the base salary while you see others being lazy but no one does anything to manage that laziness. You can earn the same money doing an entry level admin role elsewhere, so do that, not this.
