Pros

Pay rate was competitive - that's all I can say that's good.

Cons

This company is unprofessional. They do not communicate. They do not follow through or respond. I received an offer for a contract and I accepted. Before I started, my recruiter left the company. I get a call from the replacement who talked a lot in the first conversation. I started at the company and thought all was well only to learn they didn't communicate the expectations of being in the office to me. The hiring manager was frustrated as was I. The manager ended my contract abruptly the day before Christmas Eve. I sent a message to the recruiter asking for a label and box to send the laptop back. No reply. Sent another text. Finally got a reply. A box was sent right when I was moving. It was misplaced. Now I realize after moving I still have the laptop. So I request another return box. It arrived but when I tried to drop it off at FedX - they were already closed. In a matter of days, I receive a threatening email that I am in possession of an asset and they intend to use legal action to retrieve it. Are you kidding me? I'm the one that initiated the sending of the laptop back. They send a letter saying that I was to send it back at the end of my assignment. Send it back how? I didn't even get a box and label until I asked for it! Now suddenly its an urgent matter when before it wasn't even a matter? Unbelievable.

Pros

Decent salary base, probably could be a really good paying job if the job market was better

Cons

Definitely a typical, corporate sales culture where you are defined by your metrics and your metrics only. They are money grabbers, and their commission structure isn't that great. After 2 years you lose 50% of your commission from contractors and they eliminated early release days before holidays. My office started becoming a "bro culture" and the leader was clearly trying to act like "one of the guys" with the males in the office. If your market is slow with reqs, they expect you to reach out to other offices for subs which is hard to do when other offices favor their own teams' recruiters. They'll likely give you a picked over req or one not close to the money that their own team didn't want to work on. I had to reach out to other offices daily to basically beg for a req to work on to hit my metrics. To add to it, the PTO structure for salaried employees is not how they described it when I joined. 17 PTO days total (including sick/personal time btw) and it is actually accrued throughout the year. I had to use PTO for sick time and a vacation, so when I left I had to write them a check for my balance! Talk about a way to really give someone the boot when they're on their way out the door.
