Pros

They were able to get me hired, and even assisted getting me a higher pay than the client was initially offering, per my request. Somewhat average response time, but at first I recall it was pretty fast.

Cons

Seemed to lack incentives or benefits. You appeared to be at the mercy of whoever you were working with. no real protections for the worker. I ended up having questions about certain things that I felt they should be able to answer relating to things like taxes, and I was surprised that they didn’t seem to have any kind of accounting department that was able to answer the question. I was in a position where I felt my employer (client) was somewhat taking advantage of my vulnerable position and breaching the initial contract I had signed. They were asking me to perform the duties of a person that was being let go, heavily implying that was the only reason I’d be kept on any longer for the remainder of my time with the company. The client wasn’t planning to compensate me, and didn’t, for the additional duties I then ended up taking on, despite my making an effort to reach out to my acting Manager with the client at that time. And when I reached out to Kforce for assistance, I was not provided any meaningful assistance to receive the compensation for the additional duties I was taking on for that remainder of time I ended up working with the client.

Pros

Decent salary base, probably could be a really good paying job if the job market was better

Cons

Definitely a typical, corporate sales culture where you are defined by your metrics and your metrics only. They are money grabbers, and their commission structure isn't that great. After 2 years you lose 50% of your commission from contractors and they eliminated early release days before holidays. My office started becoming a "bro culture" and the leader was clearly trying to act like "one of the guys" with the males in the office. If your market is slow with reqs, they expect you to reach out to other offices for subs which is hard to do when other offices favor their own teams' recruiters. They'll likely give you a picked over req or one not close to the money that their own team didn't want to work on. I had to reach out to other offices daily to basically beg for a req to work on to hit my metrics. To add to it, the PTO structure for salaried employees is not how they described it when I joined. 17 PTO days total (including sick/personal time btw) and it is actually accrued throughout the year. I had to use PTO for sick time and a vacation, so when I left I had to write them a check for my balance! Talk about a way to really give someone the boot when they're on their way out the door.
