Pros

Staff at locations are fun to work with You meet great children and parents If you can coach and speak well it’s not challenging to get memberships Onsite general manager, assistant manager and staff are all helpful and hardworking,

Cons

Micro management and stressful environment from owners and offsite management. Constant moving the goal post with call volume, and wanting to manage every part of your day. Want you to make connections on calls but STRESS call volume. Never expect to hear good job. Have been told “our staff is to task oriented” Unrealistic sales expectations vs advertising dollars. I spent my last month cold calling people who were not interested in the program 2022. Then I got let go because not enough people I talked to enrolled for a membership. After being 5th in the company in call volume. This company has a very high turnover, in management, every coach at my locations has verified I have personally seen them make a manager a cry for voicing concerns, and end up taking their salary and giving them an hourly 4 months into the job and considered firing another manager because they were in a hospital 3 months in to the job. They are using self help books to try and run a children’s memberships business and force managers to read them. Their whole personas are from that book think like scammer YouTubers influencing someone who runs a children mem

Pros

I cannot vouch for every center since they are not all owned by the same people, but they all fall under the same stipulations from HQ. The same values we instill in the kids we coach are the values management looks for in their coaches. There is little to no work drama, everyone has each other's backs when covering shifts, and there is always an opportunity to pick up extra shifts as well as advance into higher positions. I have been at KidStrong for roughly 1.5 years and have received two raises and two 'level ups'. This is genuinely the best place I have ever worked, and the day I leave will be really, really hard.

Cons

"Requires" off-the-clock work, such as watching videos and studying slides to learn the courses before coaching. Also since shifts are set and we do not clock in, I tend to have issues completing closing duties and still completing shift reports before my shift is up. Although requiring these things to be done off the clock is illegal, it is definitely phrased as if you will get written up if these things don't get done.
