Daily one-on-one meetings with supervisors often felt like they focused more on reporting completed tasks than on collaboration, problem-solving, or professional development. There appeared to be a preference for employees who had closer personal relationships with management, which sometimes created a perception of favoritism and made recognition and opportunities feel less consistent. The work environment could benefit from greater trust in employees, more objective performance evaluations, and a stronger focus on teamwork and results The expectation for extra effort often translated into a minimum of 45+ hours per week, which made achieving a healthy work-life balance challenging. Employees were often expected to be fully on-site, which reflected a management style based more on oversight and monitoring rather than trust and flexibility
