Pros

Growing company, Pay, Commute, Cantina, and Health Benefits

Cons

Where do I begin? First few weeks were great, as I was learning my new role and the company. The welcoming atmosphere stayed for a very short time in my department, but I can attest that it did remain from other departments I was able to work with. I saw the writing on the wall quickly about the Marketing department when I started to be overbearingly micromanaged and undercut by Sr. Management. I soon began to ask myself how could this be happening at my professional level of experience? Most of the team was and is great but Ondar Tarlow CMO brings much to be desired at Kinecta and the Marketing team. He's extremely controlling and wants everything his way. He pretends to want the team to provide input but he never adheres to or listens fully to the input provided. He has had some seasoned and junior team members which all seemed to provide a great foundation for a goal oriented, collaborative, and creatively productive team, but the CMO doesn't allow it thrive like other companies do or would. It is his show and no one else's. He will ask you to explain your project to the team or others but then continues to aggressively interrupt you by adding his words or details you still have not been able to bring forth due to his persistent rude and untimely interruptions. He even does this with partnering vendors. It's embarrassing and disturbing. He has to have the first and last word and the team just suffers in silence. Many of the team members sit quietly because most of them are afraid of his attacks if they speak their opinions. He's supercilious. His style of management doesn't allow the Kinecta Marketing team to flourish like they should as he is stifling to their growth and ownership of their projects. Major red flag came when notations of him saying numerous times that people are replaceable. Even outside departments echo these sentiments as they have heard them too. HR has stated he is going through management training but unfortunately there were never any consistent improvements. They would last a week or two and then it's seems as though he forgets everything he learned and reverts back to his old self - his real self. That was the last check for me and pushed me to leave. It is unfortunate that people have to uproot and change their lives and where they work because their Sr. Management leader doesn't care about the people who work for them but would rather just meet the financial needs of Kinecta at any cost. There have been many discussions with HR and the CEO concerning him. HR ultimately has to do whatever the CEO says so they are no help. If you choose to work at Kinecta be prepared for that. HR can't do anything so I suggest taking good notes, keeping detailed records and pursue outside help if you can. Oh, and here is the cherry on top, word got around the CMO resigned a few weeks ago citing family reasons and then recanted his resignation. Many current Kinecta employees inside and outside of the Marketing department have said he actually had demands he wanted Keith the CEO to adhere to in order for him to stay and he forced the CEO to tell his team he was leaving. Apparently, his demands were met and he is still with Kinecta causing chaos. The CMO makes it hard to enjoy Kinecta, your job and all the work you do for the company. Dread of daily interactions weighs heavy on everyone even the ones afraid to speak out to upper management about the matter. The department is riddle with overturn, leave of absences, and overworked unhappy team members. Work life balance is non - existent. In my time, other departments have voiced complaints about the CMO and a lot of them try to keep engagements to a minimal. It is so unfortunate that the work environment here is this toxic and people are being pushed out because they have zero help from within. Keith the CEO knows everything. HR knows everything. Employees, internal departments, vendors all have voiced their concerns about the CMO and yet he is still at Kinecta creating the same discord and chaos amongst his team. Great place to work? Laughable. Work for Kinecta at your own risk preferably in a department that is not Marketing.

Pros

Working for Kinecta in my current position has been an amazing experience. I have the opportunity to work remotely and with many wonderful people. I've had the opportunity to grow and learn and contribute the success of my company with many wonderful incentives. I recently reached my 5-year anniversary and was awarded many beautiful gifts including an Ice Cream Maker I was able to choose. What fun this company is!

Pros

Culture and community involvement that’s about it

Cons

Favoritism has become ridiculous. Promotions are no longer based on job performance, work ethic, or leadership — they’re based on who you know. It’s sad and disappointing to see Kinecta come to this. Employees who work hard and consistently deliver results deserve equal opportunity and recognition, not to be overlooked because they aren’t part of the “right” circle.
