Pros
- Good place to learn about GMP environment and learn about cell therapy - Get your feet and hands wet as you have a chance to work inside and outside of clean room - Friendly people to work with - A lot of free snacks and drinks. - Great benefits including health, dental, vision, even gym membership/ equipments reimbursement - I got lucky with my Supervisors. They are very understanding and push me to go further. They have their hand tied with upper management so there are times they can not help much beside listening to complaints. - The company has transitioned to electronic batch record. This means you don't have to write and sign as much as paper lots.
Cons
- Very difficult to move up since there are too little higher up position open up - It is very typical silo manufacture company. If you get hired for QC/manufacture/Kitting etc. You get stuck there. Very little chance to none for cross department training - A lot fo office politic since everyone all wants to stand out and prove themselves. It could rub other coworkers the wrong way. It feels like upper management and some co-workers always find some faults in your work regardless how well you perform. - Dream work makes team work. This means if you are good at your job, you will be the go to person to get more work. - If you are 6 months in, it is just a 9-5 job. A lot of people who have been working there for years are very unhappy. - The roles, responsibility and title keep changing. You can work there for 2 years and have the same title as a new employee (depending on their employment history). Probably the same pay. - You can be in the clean room 6-7 hour a day with full on Hazmaz suit. This come with the job so if you can't handle wearing PPE all days, beware of this before you applies here.
