Pros

The firm encourages its attorneys to think of the practice of law as both business and profession. It encourages and assists its attorneys to grow and develop their own practice area in compliment with the firm's many practice areas. In addition, the firm has a fantastic marketing department that helps attorneys develop at all practice levels. The firm is also very supportive of efforts by attorneys to engage in the legal community and the community at large. And while the firm has five offices located throughout California, and in Seattle, it is still small enough that attorneys can maintain their collegiality.

Cons

The cons I would say are the same that accompany the practice of law at any firm. The work can, at times, be difficult. Working with contentious attorneys in litigation can wear on a person. And as with any practice, the hours can be long and demanding. But I would add that Klinedinst has a reasonable annual billable requirement that allows attorneys to maintain a good work-life balance.

Pros

Truly good people running the firm who want nothing more than to provide its attorneys an opportunity for intellectual challenge, personal/professional growth, and financial reward. There is a high standard set for character, effort, and work product, but the demands are enforced with support and encouragement rather than punishment. The firm has nurtured relationships with high value institutional clients who trust Klinedinst to handle their non-cookie-cutter matters. The work is always interesting and challenging. I have never experienced any "lean" times with incoming work at Klinedinst. There is always more than enough work. If you are a hard working, honest, team player who cares to constantly improve, Klinedinst has unlimited potential.

Cons

Having to bill time and meet billable hour requirement. Some internal inefficiencies, though improving as the firm catches up with its growth.
