Pros
This is one of those "I didn't know what I was missing until I got here" situations. I love working at West Creek. The people and culture are top notch, and the work is meaningful. As I'm still at the beginning stages of my career, I'm grateful to West Creek for giving me opportunities to learn and gain experience in areas that I would not have even had access to elsewhere. As a result, I know more about what things I'm interested in and where I'd like my career path to go than when I got here. COVID Response: The past few months have been unprecedented as COVID has wreaked havoc across the globe. However, West Creek's response to the crisis has done nothing but strengthen my appreciation and belief in this company. Leadership was able to take quick, thoughtful, and decisive actions that allowed us to remain highly successful and protected during this time. As a result, I'm confident in our ability to survive any recession. The CEO also has regularly scheduled meetings with the majority of the company where he gives us updates on our status, performance, and strategy which has been essential to keeping employees in the loop during this stressful time. Intelligence: I can't express enough the admiration and respect I have for our Leadership team. The CEO, CFO, CRO, etc, are the smartest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. As someone who considers themselves pretty darn smart, I'm always pleasantly surprised at the way they can bring up questions and/or solutions that haven't even crossed my mind. It gives me confidence in their ability as leaders and also helps me improve my work and approach to problem solving. Culture: I love our culture. I love our people. I love coming in to work (literally pre-COVID and figuratively ever since). I have a strong personality, to say the least, and I feel that I can be myself and not some polished, corporate robot (which is great, because I'd be really bad at that...)
Cons
If you're looking for a place to simply skate by and collect a paycheck, this is not the place for you. Although not a con, I do want to call out our culture of ownership and work ethic. You will be held to a high standard, and as a result will need to put in the quantity and quality of work appropriately.
