Pros

I can't think of anything

Cons

Working at this location was not a great experience. The store is such a mess all the time especially with the go backs. Nobody on the floor during the day is required to do go backs so that keeps the register area looking messy and cluttered. The management doesn't seem very helpful & when I asked questions I was met with attitudes. It didn't feel like a team and managers only talked to the people they liked. Being new it didn't feel welcoming or like I was appreciated. I wasn't even introduced to every manager and just figured it out as I went. The store doesn't have any organization in place for anything and management doesn't care. I was so stressed by working in such a messy environment and being scared to ask a question due to the attitude and sarcastic tone I received. There are so many teenagers working there and not enough discipline. So little is expected of them while the older workers are doing all the work. The managers don't back you up when it comes to angry customers. This store needs guidance and real management.

Pros

Good full-time benefits, flexible scheduling. But the cons are starting to outweigh the good.

Cons

A new store manager took over the Massapequa Park location (Long Island, NY) and the workplace culture has become highly challenging since. Her management style is overly critical, and she makes harsh, rapid judgments without taking the time to know her associates or understand their roles. Furthermore, she does not lead by example, and she sets unrealistic expectations without providing regular check-ins or continuous coaching. This has left the staff feeling unsupported and neglected. There is also a strong perception that loyal employees hours are being unfairly cut or even terminated to reduce store costs rather than supporting the well-being and retention of the staff.
