Co-worker relationships at a good store are awesome! Some of the special associate discount days make shopping worth it. The Dental and Vision are tops!

Where do I begin? First, there are managers in my market that should be replaced. And despite all the efforts of assorted associates in their respective stores, they still have their jobs. HR is even more so a joke in these matters. The latest corporate restructuring makes my position meaningless, as it means they can schedule me anywhere, any time. The pressure to create loyalty by soliciting credit and reward memberships is crazy, and can lead to some very unhealthy work attitudes. A 40 cent raise for "Exceeds Expectations" (the highest rating) is a JOKE, when in previous years, it was at least $1. The pay is amongst the lowest in retail. In order to get 'affordable' health insurance premiums, one must certify that they are tobacco free, which is a total invasion of someone's privacy outside of work. For my health conditions, I got better and cheaper coverage through the Marketplace. Corporate when making moves to make the company more relevant and appealing to consumers, often make decisions that negatively affect the associates and their morale. The younger part-timers are just working their wage at this moment, despite everyone's efforts to positively motivate them to do otherwise.
