Pros

Pretty good benefits, company car, a flexible schedule and a powerful brand name. If you like golf they own golf courses..........if you like cheese, they are located in Wisconsin

Cons

Middle Management is extremely weak. Kohler tends to promote by who they like, or how they did on a Management presentation, not by experience, success or results. You are at the mercy of the director above you. Don’t get me wrong, some are good, many are really bad. I had a problem, it was called common sense and curiosity, I ended up sticking out for asking questions..... I was labeled and my career stalled. If you work here, be a complete yes man or woman. When the lemmings jump, jump with them. In a business sense you will die from following some really bad ideas, but from a career standpoint you will live to be promoted, overworked and grossly underpaid. Kohler Sales is kind of like the DMV. You have lifers who are there til they retire entrenched behind 3 inch thick glass. People waiting in long impossible lines looking for career advancement, and senior managers who are the bureaucrats who want no change. If you have the slightest entrepreneurial spirit, avoid working at Kohler, it will not be rewarded. If you do end up working here, get what you can out of the organization, build your resume and then jump for a better opportunity

Pros

If you are okay supporting a business that is focused on building wealth instead of developing skills and business understanding of objectives, then you will fit right in as long as you learn two important phrases "Great idea boss" and "Yes sir, I will carry out all of your plans so you will be recognized by upper management". DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!

Cons

I have already posted a con, but noticed another con that other posts point to. I read about disappointment of no remote work anymore. Remote work is difficult; you have a hard time building collaboration, teamwork and trust in a remote situation. But as I look at myself, I am on-site and love coming to work - would rather be around my team and have a constant pulse on the culture where I can address any issues immediately. Ask yourself, other than the loss of commute time and being in the comfort of your own home - why do people prefer to work from home. Many times, it can be due to avoiding the stress and anxiety that exists at work. Now ask yourself, what would make people want to be in the office versus at home. Whether you are remote or in person, not wanting to come into the office may be a sign that you are not happy and lacking fulfillment from your current circumstances.
