Pros

There are no shortages of opportunities to expand your job skills if you are salaried. Somewhat less for hourly, but that has more to do with the union than willingness to promote. I found the union pretty easy to work with if you are willing to work with them. For the area, pay is good, though one can go to Milwaukee and make 30% more. The benefits are phenomenal.

Cons

Big,plodding organization that remains inbred in places because some long-term employees dig in their heels. The divisional management sometimes does not provide adequate guidance. I had both good and bad in that regard during my 8-year run. I would still be there had an opportunity I could not pass up not appeared.

Pros

1.The people that work at Kohler Company are absolutely amazing. They will get you through the toxic work environment and make the job enjoyable. 2. Health Insurance premiums are reasonable. 3. PTO is comparable to the market.

Cons

1. Every year since David took over the company, leadership will let go associates and a few months after, hire people. Many times, associates are told they are being let go right before Thanksgiving. 2. There is constantly a new requirement or change every few months ever since Mr. passed away. Don't get too used to anything because it will probably change. 3. Leadership will promise change and then take it back after re-considering and taking a closer look at the budget. Often, this happens after a ton of associates have spent a lot of time on the work. 4. When I started in 2018, the company felt like a family company. By 2023, it no longer felt like the Kohler family cared about their associates. 5.Leaders can't plan or be proactive because there are always 10 priorities and last-minute initiatives being put on their plate. 6.Work, Life, Balance- You will only have work/life/balance if you set boundaries for yourself. I watched many colleagues burn themselves out. 7. HR doesn't support associates, they only help leaders. 8. Pay is low and to get matched with the market, you have to leave. New associates get taken care of better than associates that have worked at the company for years.
