The industry, as a whole, is a grind. You can easily work 50-60 hours a week. Owners of projects have got so tight on budgets, but also tighter on schedules so we are required to perform more work with less of a staff in a shorter amount of time. The industry is thriving with a lot of projects going out to market and companies are getting more and more competivie in order to get the project and often times the only way to get a lower number is to reduce staff/GCs/GRs which can require a lot more effort by the project teams to make sure the project is successful.
