Pros

-Flexible hours -Assignments are always available -Make your own schedule -Only required to work 2 days a week -Kokua has your back -Very understanding -Lots of downtime to do things like study, read, etc -Lots of practice hours if you're getting a teaching certification -No micro managing -If you stay on the same assignment for 15 days or more pay goes up to $90 a day

Cons

-Dealing with students that have no respect for a temp. teacher (not kokua's fault) -Not so nice teachers -Schools not having a real disciplining system -If you get sick, it's a little hard to get out of an assignment you've already committed to but that's easy to pick around

Pros

Flexible scheduling and the ability to be on call for a specific area if needed. Supportive administration. Easy to reach who you need for questions and in case of a need to cancel a shift.

Cons

Sometimes there is a lapse in work but that is not Kokua's fault. Sometimes there is a lot of work but it is too far to drive depending on where you live.
