One of the worst environments I’ve ever been in. As the leaders parade around on stage at a conference that definitely conflicts with their day job, they act like they are a great leader and builder of sports careers. The truth is they break people down, accost lower level analysts, and ultimately don’t let them grow. This place is a dead end after a little bit. This is different than other toxicity in the sports industry. This is really a place where you’ll never grow. There is an inner circle at the top that hasn’t left. If you’re not in that group, then good luck ever getting anywhere. They continue to promote people who are terrible managers and leaders and don’t know strategy in sports beyond what the CEO thinks is the right thing to do. From fudging numbers on slides to satisfy her to acting like decisions are actually “data driven”, it’s truly amazing that people continue to have high regard for this place.
