Pros

Associate discount and free products are great. Work life balance is possible here. There are opportunities to move to other depts and categories. Management strives to hire and promote from within. That's said, it takes time to move up. This is a relationship based company and building relationships is important.Casual work Environment. Generally young hip group of people in individual contributor positions. Fashion and or beauty background is a must. Work hard play hard. Company holds appreciation events , charitable events and fun summer and winter events . Expanding globally which is exciting . Opportunities for training and development

Cons

Starting salary for entry level is not on par with other large companies. There has been some turnover in my dept and recent layoffs across the company which is scary. People who have been with the company for 10-15+ years have been laid off. A slap in the face for associates who remained loyal . We are always encouraged to be faster and more frugal than year before and it's challenging. We support the retailers so corporate doesn't close on Black Friday , Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve. Need to rotate days off with team. We don't close on snow days either.

Pros

If you are smart and willing to do whatever it takes, you will get promoted. If you find the right mentor, your development will be a priority. If you love retail, this is the place for you.

Cons

Hope you get lucky with your manager and director and VP because if you end up in the wrong department on the wrong category, the environment is toxic.
