Pros

9/80s, location, working team members are great

Cons

The L3Harris Plano division has had so many RIFs in the last year, and even worse the last 2 months! This location also has had employees leave on their own in droves over the last year and two months...whats going on!! Even other companies are asking what's going on at/with L3Harris Plano. The morale is extremely low in all functions. In certain functions their senior management, directors, seem to not care about their teams. The immediate directors seems to be laxadazic and not care at all. Hopefully this "phase" ends....or is the L3Harris Plano office closing....that is the ultimate question.

Pros

As a contractor you can enjoy high pay if you negotiate it with the approved Indian based (ok US based but Indian controlled) structure. The busines prospects also look promising. Assurity of Income due to Defense Industrial Complex. The willingness to set aside major plant operations and redirect security personel to protect Visiting VIP Cabinet Level Appointees so they can perform Security Theater (I would call it Political Messaging by current Government leaders in the Department of War since the scripted end product was released for public consumption.) This ability to successfully chase taxpayers dollars will serve the company well in the near future.

Cons

The need to have US Citizens work most of the positions is a security requirement. Yet the reality is that means very little when those US Citizens are scrutinized almost completely by entities in another country. An organization cited US Law about hiring decisions and then gave a Calcutta address to snail mail / contact if an adverse decision was used.
