Pros

Growing agency, good location, opportunities to network with other professionals in the field. Resume builder and good stepping stone job.

Cons

Upper management is completely out of touch, doesn't listen or apply employee suggestions, routinely overworks staff and under pays based on the industry standard. Do not come here expecting to rise in ranks or to even remotely get ahead financially. Like many corporations, the wealth remains at the top, while the "workers" that keep the agency in business, receive wages that leave them struggling to pay the rent, disappointing for a non-profit. Most troubling is that there's no mechanism in place to "evaluate" those at the top. Board members, please take note. Many employees are leaving as a result of these things, along with a lack of training and supervision. They are proving these shortfalls with huge turnovers as they are unable to retain hard working folks who really want to make a difference......this agency needs to be restructured from the TOP down, and not the other way around, there needs to be much needed improvements by fresh and innovative thinkers......until there's a complete Executive level overhaul, I have to say steer clear of this place. Seriously.

Pros

Impactful work Great principles Great staff engagement Amazing benefits - 9/80 work schedule

Cons

HR surveillance is kind of intense for the role Low pay (even if it's competitive for the field - it's still not good) Zero WFH flexibility The nature of the work is difficult - changing landscape, huge responsibility and heavy emotional labor
