Pros
There weren't many pros to working here, but the occasional after-work drinks were decent experiences.
Cons
Levo Health, on the surface, portrays itself as a successful healthcare marketing agency. And, to their credit, they work hard and do their best to add value to their clients (I'm being blunt in this review, but I'm also being fair and honest). The biggest problem with Levo Health—and a lot of people who I've spoken to both at Levo and outside of Levo agree with me on this—is the CEO. What's so strange about this is the CEO doesn't think he's the problem, so he's constantly blaming others around him and projecting his issues onto others. Levo has a large number of clients and a relatively small team, so they shoestring employees and burn them out until they collapse. To provide an example, one of my colleagues had heart palpitations and severe health issues as a result of the impossible workload and lack of empathy from leadership (especially the CEO). The CEO has these bizarre mood swings, and while I don't know this for sure, as an honest observation it's possible there could be some mental health issues going on there. One moment he's relaxed and smiling, but the next he's freaking out and putting lots of pressure and unreasonable demands on the team. It's incredibly inconsistent. He's aloof from the day-to-day operations of the business, but randomly sticks his hands into projects when he feels like it, which stresses the team out and causes all sorts of anxiety from unclear priorities. The CEO says one thing and does another. At Levo, everything is a priority at once, and with lots of clients they're responsible for, this creates a chaotic and fairly absurd working environment. You can come in early, skip lunch, and work late, and still not be on top of everything simply because it's not practical for one person to do multiple jobs at once. This is not normal. I know of many agencies with just as many clients (or more) as Levo and they don't operate with the level of insanity that occurs at Levo. When you speak up to management to respectfully express your concerns, your voice falls on deaf ears and they don't listen or change. The reason why I gave Levo a one-star review is because the toxicity is insidious. It slowly wears on you, eating away at your self-esteem, and because you're lost in the anxiety of the job, the CEO capitalizes on that by gaslighting you, throwing more work at you, and invalidating your experience at the company. The team is largely unhappy, but most people stay quiet out of fear. Several Levo employees have said to me that management doesn't value you while you're working there. This matches with my experience as well. (Please note: the COO and the CMO both add lots of value to Levo and are easy to talk to. While the COO and CMO, like everyone else, are human and aren't perfect, the core failure falls squarely on the approach of the CEO.) If there was even a small effort on the CEO's part to set more reasonable expectations and create a more sustainable workflow, it would be a different story. But that's not reality. He's a bright guy, but he seems to have some unresolved issues that he then takes out on the company, which isn't fair to the people who work there. I did not write this out of resentment, and I wish Levo the best. I wrote this because I don't want someone to make the same mistake I did in working here. Your self-esteem, your career, and your overall well-being goes to die when you work at Levo. Avoid this place.
