Pros
At the moment there is more negative than positive
Cons
In late Spring, we had 'Stay Interviews' which was some concocted bs to pinpoint the problems with retention at the FSC in Nashville. In the meantime, a new building was being built in Antioch, TN in a known high crime area. No one wanted to listen to the employees who live in Antioch about the crime issue and the land was purchased for the new building. Well, now the new building is about completed and we are getting a list of items we can't do at the new building -- eating at desk -- which is the latest issue. That wouldn't be so bad if we had decent sized new cubicles. They (being the powers that be) chose to have an 'open work environment' where no one will have any privacy. We are expected to be little robots. Anyone who has worked in this open environment has said it doesn't work. We have people who quit a company down the road because of it & now they are going to go through the same thing all over again. This building is being touted as the North American Headquarters. If management was worried about retention before, they should be equally if not more worried when the move to the new building is completed. I, for one, am not looking forward to this move. Hopefully something will come along in my field so I can exit this nonsense. We are adults and it is about time management treated their employees as adults.
