Pros

Company 401k contributions are good

Cons

Management is dishonest, and not interested in the truth. Changed my timesheet entry, and reduced the number of hours on my final timesheet. Since I knew I was dealing with dishonest management, I had saved screenshots of all pertinent information. I had to request they correct this "error." HR misappropriated employee premiums for life insurance. After I resigned, I was told the life insurance coverage I had been paying for every pay period was never purchased. During my exit interview I stated life insurance was the only benefit I needed to continue using COBRA until I started my next job in a few weeks. After I resigned, I received an email and certified letter stating I could not continue my life insurance through COBRA because the policy - although I had been paying for it each pay period - was never purchased by LMI. My family never had the life insurance protection I paid for each pay period; I was not covered at all. LMI's only solution: Refund all the premiums deducted from my paychecks. Denied the option to continue coverage through COBRA for the weeks before I started my new position.

Thank you for sharing your input and concerns. We hold ourselves to very high standards and take your claims very seriously. Our time recording policy requires staff to record all hours worked. In addition, voluntary life insurance is not the type of benefit that is subject to COBRA; however, we provide all departing employees with information on how to continue their voluntary life insurance coverage after they leave LMI. This is the first time we are hearing of your concerns, and we would like to hear more about what happened to better understand the situation. We strongly encourage you to contact our HR team to discuss this in greater detail by emailing AskHR@lmi.org.

Pros

Collaborative and mission-focused culture with a very smart workforce. Employees are encouraged to think entrepreneurially and bring new ideas, technology, and AI into workflows and operations. Strong exposure to innovative work in the govcon space, good learning and development opportunities, some workplace flexibility, and continued support for employee engagement groups.

Cons

Employee morale has been impacted by a strong emphasis on profit and growth. There can be confusion around the company’s identity and long-term direction as it continues balancing traditional consulting work with a broader push toward technology and innovation. Some employees perceive a lack of diversity across teams and inconsistency in how leadership opportunities, promotions, and visibility are distributed. Utilization expectations can make it difficult to fully disconnect or take time off. Frequent organizational shifts, leadership turnover, and changing priorities have created uncertainty in some areas of the business, and at times employees may feel like they are walking on eggshells when navigating leadership expectations and organizational change.
