Egocentric culture. Everybody is watching out for themselves and their jobs. There are good people in the trench and some in management as well. But they are powerless to make positive changes in the way management controls everything from behind closed doors. Employee appreciation is all about PR for the company. How Performance Plans are used by (most) managers is a joke at best. Do NOT be honest or you will be punished. Put down what you think your manager will want to hear so you have a better chance for a yearly increase.
