Pros

Tech head at Noida is the only pro about the company. although as a Product Manager, you will barely get to interact with him.

Cons

No job guarantee. No severance package. No respect to employees. They sell you the post by saying that you will be appointed on projects where your expertise can be used. But then, when the time comes they put you anywhere you want. And then even if you do good on those projects, you will not be paid bonus because they will make sure to lay you off before bonus season. They are laying off people by forcing them to resign. The HR calls, and forces you to send resignation before the call ends - otherwise they will terminate your employment and not give you a relieving letter. The leadership has no idea about the company's direction. You are hired for region X, but when region doesn't have work - they ask you to plead other regions if they have any work. They wont even bother informing other region POCs about you. So when you call them out of blue, they are as clueless as you. They will make you go through countless interviews in sister companies to "retain you". But even if you clear the rounds, and the hiring team wants you - they will lay you off because the "CEO did not respond to approval emails". They will lie their hearts out by promising you stuff that they can never deliver. I made the mistake of not paying too much heed to the negative Glassdoor reviews - I hope no one else makes the same mistake. This is my first ever review, hope someone reads it and find it useful.

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience. We understand it has been a difficult journey for you. While no company is immune to the current challenging climate, we strive to always do our best by our team, and are working to become a better employer to ensure this experience isn’t repeated. We’re proud of our team in India and the leadership we have, and are glad that they were helpful during your time at Lab. We've built a high performing global workforce that has the agility to work with other regions, clients and cultures – while this isn’t easy for everyone, switching clients and projects is common in our consultancy model where we believe great talent can be found across the globe. In 2022 we made a serious investment in our People Managers, upskilling them with our training partner, LifeLabs learning. We’ve seen our attrition drop, and the reasons that people move on have changed too, reflecting the improvement in the way management works at Lab. We are always reviewing our policies and procedures to retain our talented employees, or part ways with care and dignity and are sincerely sorry that on this occasion we were not able to retain you. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback with us and make Lab a better place for everyone.

Pros

Hiring is well-gated, so you'll work with smart people. Projects are exclusively in finance so it's a great place to gain exposure in that industry. You operate with a good amount of autonomy.

Cons

It's a consulting company, so engineers are only valuable if they're billable. That means your success is tied to someone else's ability to secure a pipeline of work for you, or your own ability to upsell at your engagement - which may or may not be up to you no matter what you do. There isn't a dedicated sales team at Lab, so this can get spotty. Upper management's presence is felt in seasons - non-existant for months at a time, all over everything the next. They were nowhere to be found as AI got rolled out massively in 2026 and we got caught without a strategy and action plan - either for leveraging internally or for pivoting our model.
