Pros

The people are lovely and it is a good place to get experience as a graduate

Cons

Career progression is very poor. I was there 19 months and didn't see a single promotion. Wage is well below the industry standard, whilst job searching I couldn't find a single job paying less, they're 2-3k off of the standard. The workload is unattainable, if they could they'd have you working 7 days a week. Poor flexibility in working hours, you are constantly watched, if you go 5 minutes over your lunch break you're expected to work it back. They say there is a no blame culture but that wasn't true in my experience.

Pros

It has taught me what I do not want in an employer It gave me experience for way better opportunities It made me realize that being a good worker doesn’t always mean being rewarded

Cons

When injured from being overworked and exhausted , they treated me like trash When compassion fatigue hit— they judged and questioned whether I belonged there rather than understood People make up rumors about you even if you didn’t do anything (it’s like a catty high school in there) Having one bad day constitutes you getting pulled in the office to be scolded If you’re a good worker, and you get your stuff done efficiently, they stuff you with more work Many individuals treat the animals like trash and are covered up by management if they are the “favorites” Most of the trainers there are absolutely catty people and will talk behind your back if you’re “too slow” or “not learning fast enough”
