Pros

Corporate operations personnel were receptive and supportive when needed and offered a great respite from the chaos of the local operation to which I was assigned.

Cons

Company very uncompetitive in a commodity business that was more concerned about adding bells and whistles to their services (which customers were disinterested in) than in cleaning up their core business line. Company has a long-standing negative industry reputation within the state which appears to have been ignored. Local/Regional management dessimated basic local support services that further eroded their business and image while increasing quotas. This was apparently done in an effort to shore up an erosion of the bottom line while eliminating work/life balance to keep Wall Street (not Main Street) happy. Company operations customer unfriendly and confusing compared to competition.

Pros

It has taught me what I do not want in an employer It gave me experience for way better opportunities It made me realize that being a good worker doesn’t always mean being rewarded

Cons

When injured from being overworked and exhausted , they treated me like trash When compassion fatigue hit— they judged and questioned whether I belonged there rather than understood People make up rumors about you even if you didn’t do anything (it’s like a catty high school in there) Having one bad day constitutes you getting pulled in the office to be scolded If you’re a good worker, and you get your stuff done efficiently, they stuff you with more work Many individuals treat the animals like trash and are covered up by management if they are the “favorites” Most of the trainers there are absolutely catty people and will talk behind your back if you’re “too slow” or “not learning fast enough”
