Pros

Helping people by performing tests to help diagnose them. Learning different areas therefore gaining more experience.

Cons

A lot of the people that you work with couldn't care less which results in A LOT of messed up specimens or tests. Management might as well not even be there. You cannot get help or straight answers to any question and if you somehow get an answer it will change by the next day. You can learn different benches but the more you know the harder they run you into the ground, People are not held accountable for their mistakes. Those that do not do even the bare minimum get the praise and raises and kindness. Meanwhile those that are very hard-working, exceed expectations, take pride in their work, they get blamed for others mistakes and get no recognition.

Pros

It has taught me what I do not want in an employer It gave me experience for way better opportunities It made me realize that being a good worker doesn’t always mean being rewarded

Cons

When injured from being overworked and exhausted , they treated me like trash When compassion fatigue hit— they judged and questioned whether I belonged there rather than understood People make up rumors about you even if you didn’t do anything (it’s like a catty high school in there) Having one bad day constitutes you getting pulled in the office to be scolded If you’re a good worker, and you get your stuff done efficiently, they stuff you with more work Many individuals treat the animals like trash and are covered up by management if they are the “favorites” Most of the trainers there are absolutely catty people and will talk behind your back if you’re “too slow” or “not learning fast enough”
