A very poor work environment, and forced to do more...more and more. Patient safety and wellbeing are at risk. - Anonymous employee Lee Health Employee Review

Pros

Can pretty much pick your own schedule.

Cons

The higher ups do well at telling others what to do, while they "hold up" the charge nurse desk and "bs" with whom they choose. While being rude to all other staff. Writing people up for no reason. The pt. to RN ratio is 4-5:1/ CNA ratio min. 12:1 and this is everything from ADL's- charting on all 12 pts. Taking care of post-ops included. Nurses generally dont help most of the time. All the while they will be surfing on the internet or interacting with the higher ups so they dont have to help because they are getting buddy, buddy with the manager& director. Thus leaving 100% of the patient care to the CNA's to min 12 pt's. Patient safety and happiness is a hige risk. When going to the upper officials on this issue of safety, are told that you can be replaced quickly. This is what happens when a hospital is allowed to be a monopoly and take over all medical buildings in a region. They know there is no where else to turn. Not only for staff but also for patients. It is a VERY scary situation in such a beautiful brand new hospital. There NEEDS to be a COMPLETE Manager Overhaul, get out all the old drama trouble makers and get new change for the better, the patients deserve it and so does the employees. The CNA to Patient ratio also needs to be lowered for safety reasons.
