Thank you for taking time to review Lee Health as an employer. It is bothersome to hear you feel upper management doesn't care about their staff. I don't know what gives you this perception. However, every single team member we hire is based on Lee Health's behavioral standards in addition to their skills and experience. Top candidates for leadership positions go through a thorough psychological assessment to determine how well they will reflect our values, mission, and lead their particular department. Are these foolproof techniques? No, but our selection process is much more thorough than the average employer.
Lee Health had a vacancy rate (% of jobs open, but not filled) of 3.14% in May. This is substantially lower than most healthcare organizations nationwide. Perhaps your unit had team members out ill? This is one of the reasons we have a suitable attendance policy for healthcare organizations that operate 24/7, 365 days/year.
Our publicly elected Board of Directors set the general range of salaries for our not-for-profit organization (great reason to vote!). Lee Health's compensation team evaluates all positions annually and hard to fill positions bi-annually to make sure we offer a competitive total awards package. So, if we are not offering the highest hourly pay, remember to factor in our exceptional benefits package, our dollar for dollar matching 403b up to 5%, the $2,500 you can earn with each colleague you refer to work here and fill a hard to fill position, and the many other perks we have because we are a large employer that cares about its team members.
We thank you again for your review and hope that you take advantage of the current and confidential Employee Satisfaction Survey to give your heartfelt feedback.
