Pros
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my staff, colleagues, and on-site management. Very collegial atmosphere among my peers, who have been very supportive and motivated to help care for patients.
Cons
Retention for staff and providers is terrible. Burnout is rampant, we are chronically understaffed, and the best people are overworked to the point of exhaustion. Upper management appears completely uninterested in addressing their systemic issues to improve retention. Policies are very one-size-fits-all, which makes it difficult to adjust for individual needs. There are not enough resources to care for our volume of patients, which forces a constant choice between personal limits and the safety/health of patients. Wait times for appointments are horrible. Daily moral injury from working in a system designed to prioritize profits over patient safety despite lip service suggesting otherwise and being a nonprofit with a duty to the community. If you don’t know somebody in a position of power who can pull strings for you, it is not safe to be a patient here.
