Pros

The corporate office is big.

Cons

This company operates with a "stick and carrot" mentality. When you arrive at your carrot "performance goals," they then move the carrot once again. It's an endless cycle. You'll never be at that performance level to warrant a decent raise. Plan on about a 1% raise per year (if that).

We're disappointed that you had such a negative experience. While there are a number of factors that may affect compensation, we do agree with you that "favoritism" shouldn't be one of them. That's why we implemented performance reviews. We believe they make us a stronger company by adding concrete, objective goals to measure our individual contributions.

Pros

This is a great company to work for and is the only one of its size in the area. There is room for advancement if you work hard, do a good job and stick around. Much of management has been there for a long time and advancement is the best way to get into management as they have a hard time hiring management from the outside.

Cons

Overtime is expected. There are many busy times with quarter end and tax filing season. It can get stressful.

Pros

My office was clean and air conditioned. There was indoor plumbing.

Cons

They do NOT care for their people. ZERO life-work balance. HR IS A JOKE. As a salaried employee, you could not pay me enough to go back there. Nearly killed me- literally. Know that your health insurance is ended the same day your job ends without warning, notice or ANY helpful information for you to transition forward.
