Pros

Competitive pay salary. Can jump around to other jobs if the contract runs out. Job security. If you get a Security clearance, it will last at least 5 years, allowing you to apply for other government based jobs.

Cons

Your job is usually tied to a contract. Layoffs all the time. Working for the government is slow and they supply you with outdated used equipment. Because of Security clearances, you cannot take your proof of work with you or showcase your artwork to your public portfolio, even if you're an artist, like a graphic designer or 3D artist. Having a "Black hole" on your resume is a huge con, because new employers will want to see your work.

Pros

Now, they're Leidos has taken over QTC, I appreciate the management styles and expectation. So I am much happier now

Cons

I do not like how diagnostic exams, including blood pressures, take up an hour slot which does Involve me at all. This leads to huge gaps in my schedule and as a contractor, sitting idle without making money is not really beneficial for me.

Pros

Employed barely company is going under

Cons

Leadership have ruined this company. It is currently selling as much property as they can. Letting people go but currently still hiring be very careful taking a position here. It may that them a few years to rebound from this loss of all contracts. That should let you know the company is doing pretty bad.
