Pros

Nice monthly happy hours, some great employee gifts, generous paid time off for Winter Holiday but this does not make up for the oppressive work environment and horrible treatment if you are not a "yes man/woman".

Cons

This is the worst office work environment I have ever worked in. This company takes every precaution to let the non salaried (and some of the salaried) workers "know their place" in the company. The higher ups make more money than you can believe while they are known in the industry for being one of the lowest paying companies in the market. The bosses treat the workers like their personal minions, pit workers against each other, do nothing to curb office gossip (of which there is a substantial amount), and reward "yes" people with cushy jobs who don't do a whole lot of work. This makes for a work culture that shows that unless you are willing to brown nose your way up the corporate ladder, you will not get far.

Pros

I absolutely love working for this company! Leisure Care truly cares about their employees not only on an employment level, but on a personal level as well. I recently went to a corporate event in Seattle, and I swear it was like I knew all the corporate partners like we were friends for years, that's how comfortable they make you feel! One of the Leisure Care standards is Balance- balance between life and work, and they stand true to that. This for me, is one of the contributing factors to why I think so highly of this company, being that I have three kids. One of our other standards is permission to play. Work doesn't always have to be work, it is nice to be able to join in when they are having karaoke, or ping pong challenges, cornhole is one of my favorite! I feel like there is definitely encouragement as far as work advancement, we have programs such as G.R.I.T and MA. *I love working for Leisure Care, and I would highly recommend Leisure Care to friends and family!

Cons

I do not have any cons at this moment

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for being part of the Leisure Care family! We're thrilled to hear that you've felt supported both professionally and personally during your time with us. Creating a culture where team members feel valued, connected, and empowered is at the heart of who we are, so it's especially meaningful to hear that reflected in your experience, from attending a corporate event to building relationships across the organization. We're also glad that our standards of Balance and Permission to Play have made a positive impact on your day-to-day life. We believe great work happens when people are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work, find joy in what they do, and maintain a healthy balance between their careers and personal lives. Thank you for highlighting opportunities like G.R.I.T. and MA, which are designed to support growth and career development for team members at every stage of their journey. We appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we're grateful to have you on the team. Thank you for all you do to make a difference in the lives of our residents and fellow team members each day. Meg Davidson, COO
