Pros
DRS gives you the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects and aspects of your field. Things are definitely never boring. Immediate supervisors are generally good and helpful people. This place is a good resume builder.
Cons
Management in St. Louis cares very little for their employees and subscribe to the "management philosophy of the month" club. H.R. is disorganized and incompentant, so benefits, vacation, and paychecks are frequently messed up. Bids and proposals for jobs are always made with "success driven schedules" and less funds than it takes to do them, so be prepared to work unpaid overtime to make up for it. Raises don't usually exceed inflation and there are no cost of living adjustments, so pay isn't competitive.
