Starting pay is great, opportunities to explore old technology, in new ways by people with zero experience is a common task.
Cons
Toxic personality’s, like a wave there are times of high and low stress. Many people have been with DRS there entire career, and some have become tyrants, which breeds new tyrants. The organization is very siloed, and CYA is standard. If you like fake smiles and playing politics with people that need their ego stroked you’ll go far. Be warned, after starting pay increases will be 1-5% with 2% on average, bonuses don’t exist, and you’re expected to like it. Changing roles can have a pay bump but it can come with a trial period.
